Required Materials

Students should bring a small, nut-free snack (can be eaten in 5-10 minutes) and a water bottle.  All other materials for this class will be supplied!

Students who are staying for afternoon Elementary Engineering should bring a nut-free lunch to eat.  Lunch is supervised.

Time required outside of class
There may be times where students are given an OPTION to do something at home and bring in found treasures from time between classes, but there is no “homework” that is required for this course/level.
Is This Level a Good Fit for My Child?
Students MUST be able to participate meaningfully and appropriately in a group setting (taking turns, treating others with respect/kindness, etc.).  Students will spend some time working in small groups and some time working individually.  Our classes are part discussion/explanation to open and then “doing things”.  Sometimes our activities are at a desk and sometimes it means exploring (which can mean being on hands and knees!).

Parent Considerations
Please see “If This Level a Good Fit for My Child” section above.
