“Secular and inclusive” means that no religious content will be taught and all faiths are welcomed and respected in our learning community. Often, “inclusive” is used to relay that people of other cultures and faiths are welcomed as long as they don’t mind the cultural and religious atmosphere of the group. We strive to remove faith from our learning community unless it is to learn about a specific culture or faith.
Our learning community is open to and welcoming of diverse lifestyles, cultures and beliefs. Morals, ethics, respect and appropriate behavior are not confined to faith. Everyone is expected to use respectful language when speaking about and with families of other faiths and cultures. Learn to assume nothing based on appearances and come to enjoy learning about others in our learning community!
As homeschoolers, it can sometimes be difficult to find completely secular content. If we have missed something, please let us know. Any blatantly religious content identified in an existing resource will be worked around for the current course session and an alternative resource will be sought out for the next session. We appreciate your input and suggestions for alternatives.
