Join us on this inspiring adventure as we paint, draw, and sculpt our way through the colorful landscape of artistic discovery!

Required Materials
Students will need:

  • smock to protect clothing**
  • All other materials are provided

**Students can choose to wear a shirt that can be damaged under a sweater or sweatshirt rather than a smock.  Families do not have to PURCHASE a smock if they have a larger old, heavyweight shirt that can be used and potentially damaged.  Whatever is used should be easy to put on and take off, and should cover students from neck to wrist, and to hips without being so large that it gets in their way of working/moving around. All other materials needed to complete in-class art projects are included in the cost of the course.

Is This a Good Fit for My Child?
Students MUST be able to toilet independently, participate meaningfully and appropriately in a group setting (taking turns, treating others with respect/kindness, etc.).  Supplies assume a specific number of small groups.  Students should be able to make themselves clearly understood, follow directions and use scissors to participate in our elementary classes.

This is a hands-on class and students who struggle to speak to others in a respectful manner would not be well-suited to this course.  Many students are sensitive to the criticism of others.  The culture of our coschool is one of respect and being able to give constructive or dissenting opinions in a way that preserves good relationships.

Parent Considerations
Please see “If This Level a Good Fit for My Child” section above.  Families that want to participate in Elementary Mornings – Language will have a lunch break between the morning and afternoon sessions.
